“Together Against Lead” will share practical recommendations through social media to help families identify potential sources of exposure and take preventive measures in their homes.

Peru’s Ministry of Health (MINSA) and Pure Earth Peru have launched the “Together Against Lead” campaign, a joint communications initiative that aims to raise public awareness of the risks of lead exposure and promote preventive measures, particularly in households with children and pregnant women.
Through social media posts and videos, the campaign shares information and recommendations to help people identify potential sources of exposure in everyday life, including certain toys, school supplies, makeup, wall paints, and work clothes that may be contaminated with lead, among others.
This initiative marks an important step toward strengthening prevention at home, where some sources of exposure may go unnoticed. By providing clear, accessible information, the campaign aims to help more families recognize potential risks and take steps to reduce exposure, especially among young children.
“To prevent lead exposure, families need information that helps them recognize potential risks in their surroundings and take steps to reduce them. This campaign allows us to share practical recommendations with the public and strengthen our joint efforts with the Ministry of Health to promote prevention at home,” said Rodrigo Velarde, Country Director of Pure Earth Peru.
The campaign will be shared through the official channels of MINSA and Pure Earth Peru, featuring educational content designed to encourage preventive habits and protect family health.
